- Assessment. We evaluate species, height, lean, deadwood, structures in the drop zone, and access routes for chip trucks.
- Drop plan. For open yards, we fell in one piece. For tight access we climb, rig, and lower sections with ropes. Crane assist is available for large leaners near structures.
- Full cleanup. Trunks are bucked into logs you can keep, or hauled off. Brush is chipped. Everything is raked and swept.
- Stump options. We can grind the stump the same day, cut it flush, or leave it as-is, your call.
When You Need Removal
- Dead trees lose structural integrity fast. Waiting is dangerous and expensive.
- Leaning trees with soil heave at the base, or cracks up the trunk, need to come down before the next windstorm.
- Diseased trees (emerald ash borer, elm disease, pine beetle) can infect neighbors. Remove promptly.
- Property prep. Driveway expansion, home addition, solar install, we clear what's in the way.
Pricing
Removals are priced by size and difficulty. A backyard 30-foot pine is roughly $400 to $700. A large front-yard cottonwood near a structure runs $1,500 to $3,500. Crane-assist adds cost but can be cheaper than a full rigging job for a big dangerous tree. We quote flat, on site, before we touch it.
Common Questions
Do I need a permit?
For most residential trees on private property in Colorado, no. Some HOAs and some historic districts require approval. We can pull the permits or advise you, depending on your city.
Can I keep the wood?
Absolutely. We can buck the trunk into 16-inch firewood rounds and stack them where you want. No extra charge.
What about my lawn under the tree?
We protect the drop zone with plywood and matting. Some turf compaction is unavoidable for very large trees, but in most cases your grass recovers within a few weeks.
